I installed my new canoe seat yoke in ten minutes. 4 simple holes drilled in the gunwale, installed 4 screws and complete. It is a very comfortable seat and portage yoke. Highest of quality, worth the money.

Oh man this thing is perfect. Love how easy it is to portage with this. The padding takes all the shock and makes portaging so much easier.

I’ve been using this seat for number of years to tun my two seat canoe into a three seater as well as middle seat for solo paddling. I don’t have room at the house to own multiple canoes with more specific purposes and this seat allows me to it all with one boat. The quality is second to none.

The best carrying yoke money can buy. Been using the Spring Creek yoke since the early 90’s and I still use it on all my trips to date. Recently bought the replacement mounting clips to swap it over to a different boat. This product is timeless and lasts forever. Great buy

Works really well when installed correctly.
My only suggestion is to ignore the pre-drilled holes in the tubing meant for installing a screw on each side to permanently secure the telescoping seat sections. If installed in the pre-drilled location, it becomes very difficult to slide the two fabric seat sections over the screws and outward enough to allow space for your head when hoisting the canoe onto your shoulders for portaging.

A seat and a portage yoke?
Literally an amazing idea.
I love mine.

I have been on many Boundary Waters trips with this portage yoke; the number one best thing about this portage yoke is that there is none of that irritating rubbing on the back of the neck! The next is it is easy to balance the canoe will portaging up and down steep hills. Very much worth the price.
